Fundraiser to support Annie Smeltzer’s medical expenses

Third-grader Annie Smeltzer, daughter of Brian & Elysa Smeltzer, has faced an extraordinary medical crisis this past year. There have been lengthy stays at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, many medical tests and procedures, genetic testing, and more. They have an epilepsy diagnosis, along with “epileptic encephalitis of unknown etiology” and “autoimmune encephalitis,” but these don’t explain everything that’s going on; Annie’s behavioral, physical, emotional, and cognitive deterioration is not something doctors have seen before.

In addition to your continued prayers, please come to a fundraiser organized by the staff at Avery Elementary School, where Annie goes to school. We ask our incredible church family to continue to surround and support our friends the Smeltzers, by helping with their ongoing financial and other needs for childcare, meals, and overwhelming medical expenses.

There will be hot dogs & baked goods for sale, as well as raffles and a silent auction.

All proceeds will go to the Smeltzer family.

This event is open to all — come and bring friends!
